Sansbury Care Center

Sansbury Care Center is a skilled and personal care facility serving religious and lay women in rural Springfield, KY. Located adjacent to the historic St. Catharine motherhouse of the Dominican Sisters of Peace, Sansbury Care Center’s mission is to provide quality, personalized, and compassionate care services to the center’s 48 residents.

Sansbury also strives to create a fulfilling career experience where employees can grow their care-giving skills while enjoying a caring work environment.

Driven by Generosity

A simple golf cart has become something much more at Sansbury Care Center – it’s now a source of joy, connection, and renewed freedom for our Sisters and residents.

Thanks to the generous support of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, residents are able to enjoy peaceful rides across the beautiful grounds at St. Catharine. As spring arrived, so did the first outings filled with blooming dogwoods and redbuds, visits to the farm, and quiet moments of reflection at the grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes.

Laughter and gratitude have followed each trip, with residents describing the experience as “lovely,” “delightful,” and a “smooth ride.” These outings offer more than a change of scenery, they provide meaningful opportunities for fresh air, community, and connection with the beauty of creation.

We are deeply grateful to the Kentucky Colonels for this gift, which will continue to enrich the lives of our residents through every season.

Thank You, Kentucky Colonels!

The Sansbury Care Center is beyond grateful for the generous support of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. Sansbury Administrator Megan Finnie attended the organization’s Good Works Event on June 16, 2025, where Sansbury was awarded a Good Works grant.
