PERSONAL CARE MONITOR – Needed ASAP

Full-time/Part-Time Third Shift (40 hours or 24-32 hours)

Skills Needed: Under the direct supervision of a RN or LPN, performs tasks within scope. High school diploma. Must be at least 18 years old. Monitor and assure residents are safe and secure. Listen for call lights. Walk through the halls every two (2) hours, slightly open door to listen for resident’s even breathing and resting. Monitor and record refrigerator temperatures for the Nursing Station and Kitchenette. Wash those parts of the juice machine instructed to do so. Copy name and new month dates over to the nursing sheets for monthly change overs. Clean wheelchairs, walkers and carts when sent down on the elevator. Make beds if needed. Use aseptic techniques and infection control procedures, observing universal precautions. Maintain and protect patient privacy rights. Answer all call signals and requests of residents immediately, immediately call the Nurse on 3rd floor for assistance. Maintain nursing unit in a clean and orderly manner. Participate in activity programs planned for residents as needed.

Transport dietary carts weighing up to 40 lbs. and linen carts up to 50 lbs. Must speak, read, comprehend and write English. Must also be able to maintain the confidentiality of any information he/she encounters.

RN – STAFF DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

Full-time

First Shift

Minimum Requirements: Holds a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Kentucky. Has a valid CPR certificate and is current with state CE requirements. Experience as a nurse aide. Skilled in developing and conducting training programs and quality assurance programs. Directed by the Administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times. Plan, organize, develop, coordinate, and direct Sansbury’s in-service educational programs in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. Understands and is able to abide by HIPPA laws as they pertain to residents and employees always protecting their right to privacy and confidentiality. Must have a working knowledge of nursing policies and procedures and facility policies and procedures. Strong communication and management skills, administrative, organization and interpersonal skills to work in a cross-cultural setting.

Must be able to handle mental and emotional stress associated with healthcare work and serve as an excellent role model for staff and residents. Valid Kentucky driver’s license. Responsible for supervising staff and process related to MDS and Restorative Nursing program. Evaluate proficiency and orientation of new employees on 2nd and 3rd shift. Assure regulatory compliance during assigned shift. Assist in maintenance of Infection Control program. Must have good mental and physical health, sound judgment and high moral standards. Must possess excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, and decision-making capabilities.
