Medical Records – Full-time

Skills Needed: Maintains resident medical records in an appropriate manner. Abstracts statistical information from medical records of all discharged patients and records the data. Code and maintains current diagnosis lists. Compile statistical data and prepares daily, monthly, annual statistical reports, NF month report, check sheet and care plan assignments. Maintains confidentiality of records. Handle routine medical record information, locates information, prepares copies, schedules appointment for MD. Pull medical records needed for various meetings and assessments. Prepare notices for residents of the dates of scheduled appointments and makes listings for care coordinator to arrange transportation. Places medical reports on correct patient’s records. Maintain organization of forms on nursing units. Performs clerical duties for Nursing Department

High school graduate with post-secondary training in office administration with knowledge of medical terminology. Proficient in use of English language, spelling and  grammar with computer and typing skills. Ability to interact effectively with employees, residents, visitors and staff. Must be able to react quickly and accurately in the event of an emergency. Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding is required.

Must be mature, positive, self-motivated, well-spoken, dependable, caring and compassionate person with the desire to work with the elderly.  Must possess excellent time management skills, ability to adapt positively in a changing environment, and be able to document with detail.  Other duties as assigned. Must be able to pass any required drug test. Must also be able to maintain the confidentiality of any information he/she encounters.

Life Enrichment/Activities Assistant – Full-time

11:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Skills Needed: High school graduate or GED required. Weekends and Holidays are involved. Must be mature, positive, self-motivated, well-spoken, dependable, caring and compassionate person with the desire to work with the elderly.  Will schedule and coordinate events with the elderly. The Assistant will create and handle the logistics for daily, weekly and monthly events in an effort to engage residents, staff or volunteers. The Assistant will deliver fun, safe events while on time and under budget. Must possess excellent time management skills, ability to adapt positively in a changing environment, and be able to document with detail.  Other duties as assigned. Must be able to pass any required drug test. Must also be able to maintain the confidentiality of any information he/she encounters.

RN – STAFF DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

First Shift

Minimum Requirements: Holds a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Kentucky. Has a valid CPR certificate and is current with state CE requirements. Experience as a nurse aide. Skilled in developing and conducting training programs and quality assurance programs. Directed by the Administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times. Plan, organize, develop, coordinate, and direct Sansbury’s in-service educational programs in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. Understands and is able to abide by HIPPA laws as they pertain to residents and employees always protecting their right to privacy and confidentiality. Must have a working knowledge of nursing policies and procedures and facility policies and procedures. Strong communication and management skills, administrative, organization and interpersonal skills to work in a cross-cultural setting.

Must be able to handle mental and emotional stress associated with healthcare work and serve as an excellent role model for staff and residents. Valid Kentucky driver’s license. Responsible for supervising staff and process related to MDS and Restorative Nursing program. Evaluate proficiency and orientation of new employees on 2nd and 3rd shift. Assure regulatory compliance during assigned shift. Assist in maintenance of Infection Control program. Must have good mental and physical health, sound judgment and high moral standards. Must possess excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, and decision-making capabilities. Skills Needed: Restorative Nursing Assistant training and current registration in Kentucky Nurse Aide Registry. Must be CPR certified. Performs personal hygiene, including bathing, oral care, skin care, nail care and hand washing, dressing and other grooming. Assist in toileting, making beds, mobility, transferring, ambulation, positioning and range-of-motion using appropriate techniques. Use aseptic technique for purpose of infection control. Assist in orienting residents to their environment and routines. Perform accurate documentation. Participate in resident planning through shift reports and care staffing meeting. Communication with nurses. Serve resident meals. Answer all call signals and requests of residents immediately. Assist residents in keeping room and personal items in orderly manner. Participates in activities. Transport dietary carts weighing up to 40 lbs. and linen carts up to 50 lbs. Other duties as assigned. Must be able to pass any required drug test.
